Why did we develop springs for the QV? We found that no manufacturer was doing anything worthwhile for these cars. We prefer to spend time developing a proper spring rather than rely on large spring companies to come up with a spring. 99% of the time major manufacturers of springs are mediocre at best. We tested them all, even the rebranded versions of Eibach or ST by other vendors and found them all to be too soft, too low and performed poorly. The OEM GTA springs were also underdeveloped and not a good match for replacement on the QV, lowers too much in front – although better than many aftermarket, still not there! Even with our GTAm suspension software upgrade, none performed that well.
Alfissimo springs have been developed with a bit more and proper rates over any other spring on the market and perform the way the car should on the road or to a hardcore track day. We not only designed one spring to solve the problem but we designed two! You may think more rate = stiff. This is not the case. Of course the springs being more suited to handle the weight of the Giulia QV the springs were developed to also be comfortable and still compliment the shocks with or without the GTAm software upgrade.
We have our Standard PERFORMANCE & CORSA springs (10%+ rate over performance), Performance being a linear spring and CORSA a Dual rate design to outperform any spring on the market but beyond that we have tested them on the street to the track over a 6-8 month period to bring you an excellent spring that does the job without over lowering the vehicle. These springs are totally functional on the street.
Coupled with the updated GTA/m Suspension Software ECU (not the same software as 2020 to present) the Standard QV is transformed. Overall: handling drastically improved, no wallow, less droop, no bump steer, no teeter or rear end squat, slightly sportier in A,N modes (less float) but still maintains the characteristics of those modes and what they are there for. D mode is much sportier but compliant, Race-mode is much more for track use.
Made in Italy with the same manufacturer that produces our 2.0L springs, they are of the Highest quality, engineering and craftsmanship.
We have opted for a ~12mm lowering only, based of the 2017 QV Spring height and original GTA springs for both the Performance and "track" edition spring. We developed these upgraded springs to run with the GTAm suspension software or Standard software to be compatible on the track to practical on the street. These springs may be slightly more costly than off the shelf lowering springs but there has been more R&D put into these springs than the others on the market and there is not doubt you will notice. These compliment the car, shock calibration and work well in all modes. Made in a TUV certified Factory but we have opted to not get an expensive TUV approval for the springs.
All modes still maintain very good function and characteristics the car is known for but more suited for pushing it hard. Ride quality is excellent but this is focused for serious driving but is completely comfortable on the street. We call them a "CORSA" version but they are able to be driven on the street without an issue due to the Dual-rates. Completely street drivable in all situations. No bottoming out at all. Maintains comfort and provides the performance you are looking for when you push the vehicle. In-fact you may think they are as soft as stock springs at first but again when pushed they firm up quickly.
The Dual Rate Spring combines a relatively low initial spring rate, designed to absorb minor undulations and increase grip with a precise transition point and transition range to a secondary higher spring rate to improve roll control during cornering.
The precise placement of the transition range in the total spring displacement enables accurate shock valving because the initial rate is very linear and the transition range to the secondary rate is quite short. Increased roll control and less nose dive. These are spirited driving to track focused springs that do lower more significantly than the performance.
